This is a clip from another Bruce Lee related project I worked on entitled "The Big Boss: REDUX". Basically, the concept was to create a brand new music score from various films such as The One, 28 Days Later, Mortal Kombat, and see the outcome. Plus, as Bruce Lee was the only actor in the film to speak Cantonese, his lines have properly been dubbed in Cantonese, while the supporing cast has been properly dubbed in Mandarin. Unfortunately, I didn't have a Thai track to work with for the Thai actors, but I'm thinking about touching this project up in the future with new music and dubbing the Thai actors in their proper language as well.

As for this scene, it's probably my favorite "non-Lee scene". It is Hsiu Chien's (James Tien) final fight against Hsiao Chiun (Tony Liu). This clip features music from Highlander: Endgame and The One.

  • Yeah, it's certainly not one of the best fights in the film (due to Han Ying Chieh's handling of these fights in this clip instead of Lee), but was more of a showcase for the new music edits. There will be more clips from this in the future. As for the head shot, I've read a couple of places say that it's not on the disc, while if you go on Wikipedia, a screencap of the trailer from the DVD is clearly on there. Confusing times.

  • in the english version thers a different song wen bruce cousins were first coming thru to talk to the boss. that song is tite fureal

  • This is why in my opinion that James Tien is the star of the film, not Bruce Lee. Hsiu's bravery is his final fight is the best and emotional moment in kung fu cinema. Bruce Lee is a kickass actor and he gets my respect automatically, but James Tien is the true star of the film not Lee.

  • A valiant effort. Peter Thomas will always be the closest in my heart for this one, but I can definitely see the love on yr behalf.

  • The 1 dislike came from Bruce Lee.

  • so is this the big bosses actual voice

  • James Tien's character was a good fighter throughout this movie, he put up a good fight in his last battle, they had to kill him off early in order to make way for Bruce to shine as this was his vehicle to superstardom! If Bruce had been in this scene to help him out, he'd have finished them all off quickly, none of those opponents would have stood a chance! Unfortunately, that would have been irrelevant to the story.

  • is this language mandarin or cantonese?

  • great
