  • Use FULL APERTURE SOLAR FILTERS ONLY AND COVER YOUR FINDERSCOPE WITH FOIL PAPER AFTER POINTING ANY TELESCOPES AT THE SUN ON SUUNY DAYS. NEVER LOOK AT THE SUN EITHER WITH YOUR NAKED EYE AND "NEVER THROUGH A TELESCOPE THAT DOES NOT HAVE A FULL APERTURE SOLAR FILTER. ALSO USE FOIL-ALUMINUM-PAPER TO COVER UP THE FINDERSCOPE AFTER POINTING ITS MAIN TELESCOPE AT THE SUN. FOIL PAPER PREVENTS BOTH CROSSHAIRS AND OPTICS OF YOUR FINDERSCOPE FROM BEING BURNED DISTORTED!! ALWAYS USE SOLAR APERTURE FILTERS!

  • @hottr6 you can observe the sun

you just need proper filters for all your lens (even your finderscope)

    things can heat up quickly!

lots of evidence of that on the net

one guy lost his homemade 12" dob scope by leaving it point towards the ground and the sun set it ablaze in no time lol

  • @dayone54 The telescope has so many capabilities look at jupiter right now at night if, its the bright star look a like on top of you if not east or west, and track it with your telescope, just look for jupiter enter, then track it and see it with your telescope, depending on what eyepiece you have your able to see it at the size of a shirt button or bigger!! i just saw jupiter right now with my manual astromaster 130eq and 3x barlow 10mm eyepiece and uhc lpr filter and it looks medium size!!

  • @dayone54 Awsome your lucky you bought it,this telescope is able to track find and informate you on the planet, galaxy, stars or anything else you tell it to do automatically, remember align your telescope with the nearest star or at the moon if its night time where your at right now align it towards there, and also remember to by a ccd or cmos camera that will fit your telescope, its important to capture the univers in a camera, goonlineorgetthenexstarcamera thatmountsonyourtelescope goodluckcheers

  • @vwlover94 i just bought a celestron 6se brand new in box for $330. i hope ur right. but i'm thinking of replacing the mount w/a ioptron cubepro. what do u think?

    thanx,

    debbie

  • So basically, you can get your scope out and it will align it self?

  • You can see planets, stars and moons but you will need a solar filter to put over the lens for the sun.

  • Get the nexstar 6se or 8se its worth the price and you will be able to see galaxies and plantes, nebule you name it! i mean my telescope thats 5.12 inches is able to see m31 or andromeda galaxy big!! and its a celestron astromaster 130eq and a 4mm piece looks big when you look through it though becuase my telescope has a wide view length of 72 ft i think, but yah for 500 you can either get a OTA optical tube assembly on ebay or craigslist for that price or just buy a 6se or 8se

  • Don't EVER turn a telescope near the sun; permanent eye damage (blindness) will result.

You can see the planets, Moon and stars with your eyes. Start with them. Then try using binoculars. Join a local astronomy club and look through their telescopes, and see what fascinates you. Which telescope to buy will be determined by your preference of hunting "faint fuzzies" or planets or very special equipment that is used to observe the Sun.

  • i would like to buy one .. do u advice me to buy one ? the price 500 $? is it worth??? can i see planets stars moons ?? sun ?

honestly i need honest advice ..
