Ok it was a rhetorical question.
I know that Malmsteen isn't the centre pickup type as he only uses Bridge and neck pickups Dimarzio YJM's (or HS-4 as they are now called) and a HS-3 in the middle but doesn't use it.
I really didn't think anyone would put up "He's using the left pickup"
that made me laugh

vibrato at 0:54!! nice!!!

that's what separates this man from the thousands of players he spawned. they may play faster, cleaner, etc, but this man still can convey feel ... even at a break neck tempo

Wish I could give this comment a thousand thumbs up.

People think they are musicians just because they can shred, but it aint music without feel. Yngwie is not just a guitar player but also a musician, and a pure brilliant one at that.

Yngwie typically plays his legato/sweep stuff on the neck pick up, and will flip to the bridge pick up for longer notes to give them a bit of "sting", as he puts it, or to pinch the harmonic.
I think here he meant to go back to the bridge pick up and just didn't flip it all the way, which is why he corrects it about 10 seconds later.

There are real and unreal. This is real. I can feel lucky just by knowing that someone like Malmsteen is from my era.
