  • I'd love to see some combative applications of chi techniques...the demonstrations always seem limited to brick breaking or candles.

  • the fighting application that would applied to this type of break was used when could not get a weapon in close to target. this is the same concept of using a empty beer bottle. remember demostrations is more to test ones ability of a varies strikes

  • Wow this is incredible sir! I almost still can't believe it, but there it is right in front of me. Thank you for a wonderful video sir. You are very skilled.

  • thank you my friend

  • I've done this. It has nothing to do with Chi. The corner of a drinking glass is very strong against the flat, weak side of a concrete block. The corner of the cinder block is very strong against the weak side of a drinking glass. Simple physics.

  • @weisschr MY FRIEND WHEN YOU PUT THE TIME INTO THE BASICS THEN EVERYTHING ELSES TIME IS CUT IN HALF. iN CHINA THE OLD MASTER ARE FEAR NOT BECAUSE OF THEIR PUNCHES OR KICKS, BECAUSE OF THEIR ABILITY TO KILL WITH LITTLE EFFORT, AND BREAKABLE ARMOR IS ONLY WITH PUNCHES KICKS, A VIBRATION CAN TRAVEL THOUGH FRAGIL OBJECTS TO DESTROY SOLID OBJECTS, SMALL VERSES STRONG.

  • Grow up.

This is a real demonstration of Chi

Sorry, got distracted. I meant to say "This is a real demonstration of Chinese bullshit."

  • @Iguana1138 Which is exactly what I just said but with bigger words.

  • @Sorinphyre It's also because glass has a higher compressive strength than that of steel and when he slams the glass on the side it challenges the tensile strength o the glass, which is weak.

  • You have been in way to many fights, you have lost all your teeth :-S

  • what about the 8 people who didn't like this...???? fags...

  • i had a question i heard that the iron bag conditions the chi. my question is do the gravel bag and mung bean bag condition the chi as well and help with the chi projection and developing a penatrating strike or do they juss condition the skin, bones, and tendons ?

  • @weisschr Eventually, being able to strike with a few more PSI isn't going to make a difference. Being able to do force transfer on contact - say through a breastplate or a ribcage - does what your strength training tries to do without dissipating force on the obstacles between you and your real target.

  • @Spartacus1859 Breaking makes sense in that it teaches you to hit harder and with more focus. Back when your opponent could be wearing breakable armor, this was very relevant. However, compare the value of learning how to break a cement block with a glass vs. spending an equal amount of time working on strength, focusing on a kicking or punching technique, or learning a better disarming technique. I think I know where I would rather spend my time, and what has more value in self-defense.
