  • @ronnysoeberg all about conditioning. And training ur body no matter wut size it maybe towithstand the build up of "lactic acid" :P and yea ive been playing drums for about 8 yrs. And i played football for 6 from the age of 10-16. An injurie made me quit. I can see where the endurance might be a little dwindled with the size difference but not speed i can gurantee u that sir :P and i love to blast beat especially the hammer blast hes doin when he goes into the "offhand" style :P

  • @OGTheDemon But in the end I guess we'll never agree :P so hey. Nice discussion none the less :)

  • @OGTheDemon Something leads me to believe that you've never actually played drums or done any type of sport... Do a blast beat for 20 seconds, that will produce lactic acid. The more muscle mass you have, the more lactic acid you produce. Really doesn't matter if you're playing drums or beating up a guy, the body doesn't really distinguish between different forms of physical stress. "Oh this is art, I guess I won't produce lactic acid, then" says the body.. No.. Bulk=lactic acid.

  • @ronnysoeberg because drumming is not a sport for one.... and 2 is doesnt matter what ur body mass is.... only ur legs and arms. Like i said this isnt boxing. it isnt a sport man wut dont u get my point is u can be any size and be the fastest in the world with drumming. I understand wut ur saying but 100lbs,200lbs,300lbs,40lbs it doesnt matter because u train ur body to do it. Bulking up doesnt help ur drumming. none of that does. Size and muscle mass dont mean shit they rly dont

  • @OGTheDemon I never said that being huge excludes people from being good at playing drums. All I'm saying is that it's very likely that they would be even better if they leaned out. There's a reason heavyweights in boxing/mma are worn out after 3 rounds, while light weights go full tilt for however many rounds you throw at them. Lactic Acid is the nemesis of bulk. Also, if bulk was a positive for drummers, why don't the uber known pro drummers do steroids and just bulk up?

  • @ronnysoeberg dont believe me go watch gene hoglan or eric moore or nick barker some of the largest pro drummers in the world.

  • @ronnysoeberg for drummin? nah man size doesnt matter and it doesnt lol.... ever heard orf gene hoglan? eric moore? nick barker? this isnt a marathon this an instrument this isnt a body building video its a drum video lol size doesnt have a godamn thing to do with it. Im 6'4 340 lbs and i play drums usually around 230-250 and my friend thats very fukin fast

  • @OGTheDemon So you're saying an insanely bulky bodybuilder will have the same speed and finesse as a slender athletic guy? Cause if that's what you're saying.. You're just plain wrong. You don't get super bulky by strengthening the part of your muscles responsible for speed and agility. (lean muscle mass). The muscles required for you bulking up are not lean muscle mass. AKA, it's going to slow you down and fuck with your stamina. Heavyweights don't do marathons for a reason.

  • @ronnysoeberg size aint got a damn thing to with it

  • Mostly impressed with how fast your are with that much muscle mass. Usually when people bulk up they lose a LOT of speed and dynamic. Did you notice any stamina loss after bulking up? Or have you always been pretty buff?
