"This dog breed has a tendency to get dominant and tough when untrained or unmanaged, thus all Australian Cattle Dog breeders need to understand the importance of strict instructions." -Australiancattledogs.us

Playing with my Blue Heeler (ACD), Bandit. Getting him very amped up to the point of aggression and putting my face in his mouth. Trust this dog with my life and he trusts me with is life. Do not try this without extensive training. Just wanted to show how alert and intelligent these dogs can be.

I have had Bandit for 1 1/2 years and he was a rescue dog. Approx 4 years old. The other dog in the video is what we believe to be an Australian Kelpie mix rescued at 6-7 months old. She is now a little over a year.

A little bit of training goes a long way. More videos to come showing their tricks.

  • its almost like i videotaped this myself

the bark, the growl, the way you play with him...just about how i spend my days after work haha

ill probably never get another breed of dog after i got my heeler named Bowie. Great dog. The type that would pull you out of a fire.

Haha. Gotta love (or sometimes hate) that distinctive heeler yip. Deceivingly fun and playful compared to the deep bark and high hackles when someone shows up to the house uninvited.

These dogs are the best. Cheers!

  • Mine was pretty fast, one time she was chasing me on the bike, and biting my ankle, I clocked her at 32 mph. They can be very aggressive with those they don't know, but once she got to know someone, everything was ok.

  • ACDs are so fun! I can't get my pit to play with me like my heeler will. The pit won't even play tug of war, she just wants to cuddle but my ACD she is crazy and adventurous! She is the best dog (but sometimes the worst!) easiest to train (but is deliberately sneakier) definitely has a ton of personality!
