First Cigarette

If it didn't make your teeth yellow. If it didn't make your clothes stink. If it didn't cause all kinds of life-threatening illness.

Then smoking would be cool. As it is, smoking is too dangerous to take up as a hobby. But just one, in the company of a Vietnamese guy who serenades the ladies at my table with "If You're Going to San Francisco," just one is OK.
