Man did this guy just hit the nail on the head! And with a sense of humor too. How many are turned off with the media ignoring Dr. Paul - made me look into why and feeling like there's some kind of conspiracy going down.

@MitchofSmeg Again, you have no idea what Liberty means. He could be a homophobe up and down the block, that would be his own personal feelings. It has nothing to do with libertarianism or how Ron Paul votes. You are calling him insane because you are ignorant of what it means to have liberty. It's literally the most important thing a free society can have. Are you even American? Bloody? Go read what libertianism is and then we can debate. You can't be against a group if you are for rights for all.
-
@MitchofSmeg This is probably the thing you know least about when it comes to how liberty works. There are no gay rights. Liberty and freedom means individual rights. That means there are no group rights, we all have the SAME rights, equal rights, ya know kind of what this country was founded on. Gay people wouldn't have to fight for more rights, they would have the same rights as anyone, regardless of groups.

@MitchofSmeg If government is out of education, then people can choose a school that doesn't promote creationism if they don't like it. The could home school, send their kid to a school not in their district. Open up an alternative school without the government hoops to jump through. The same right you have to not want something in schools is the same right someone else has to want something. The whole point of freedom is compromise and everyone gets what they want.
-
@MitchofSmeg When government is the one watching out for food/drugs you could be assured that it becomes a monopoly, no one is held accountable and people can be bought off or threatened with taking away funds. When government has their hands on everything, there isn't growth, it's government taking your money and giving it to someone else. You honestly think food would be dangerous is the government wasn't there to watch? It's we the people, we are the watch dogs, that's the point.
-
@MitchofSmeg Big companies don't rely on the public police to protect themselves, they hire private security, and private security will then compete with each other. What keeps companies in check is the public. You don't provide a good service, you go bankrupt, because people stop buying it. Food companies don't want to kill their consumers, they want to get as many as possible by making sure their product is safe, and therefore hire other people to inspect their shit, hence the free market.
-
@MitchofSmeg Almost every candidate is a creationist and holds back scientific progress, shit a lot of the country is too.The fact that this is the issue you have with him is INSANE! There are priorities and Ron Paul understands that certain things are at the bottom of the list.I have never heard in any debate that Ron Paul finds it important enough to talk about the shit you bring up. The watch dog group is the government. When government runs shit, you could be sure it's expensive and wasteful

@AlwaysSomething I mean seriously, the US has to vote between the evil and the insane, its just moronic, get somebody bloody else.
-
@AlwaysSomething Everyone may be becoming less free every day, but that doesnt mean you elect insane people, Ron Paul will make people like me less free every day, he is a homophobe and doesnt believe gays should get protection, as a bisexual, i know very well how dangerous that can be (yet alone the poor trans comunity who already have such little chance for real work they have to go into the porn industry)
-
@AlwaysSomething I mean cmon, half the US states still had sodomy banned and illegal in 2003, it took the fed to stop that bs, but Ron Paul will remove the system that stopped it, and thus states like Texas can ban sodomy again (and they tried it the other year aswell so dont try the whole "they wont do that" crap)
I love it when people say, "if, by some miracle, Ron Paul is the Republican nominee, I'll vote for him." That means you're willing to let the GOP establishment tell you who to choose, and they will listen to the MSM (Does the name McCain ring a bell?). Stop hoping they'll do the right thing, and register Repub. The only way to change the party is from within. Standing on the outside saying, "you guys have to do something," does nothing but prove you to be a fool.
