Leary multimedia fans start listening at 5:24 for a great sequence. Otherwise this is a good interview mentioning several episodes from his autobiography. Peace.

Leary made somewhat of a pretense of cooperating with the FBI's investigation of the Weathermen and radical attorneys, by giving them information that they already had or that was of little consequence; in response, the FBI gave him the code name "Charlie Thrush". Leary would later claim, and members of the Weathermen would later support, that no one was ever prosecuted based on any information he gave to the FBI

@blackspittle there is a little truth to this, but thats just they way his very complex social moment un-folded. Timothy Leary is also a very original thinker, his books are revolutionary in there content. He may have acted foolish, but he had no precedents...how would you have acted if it were you. I think Timothy did a great job.
