Lake Titicaca is the highest navigable lake in the world at an altitude of 3,827 metres (12,500 feet). We took a ride in a reed boat to the floating islands before visiting Puno quayside, where the steam ship Ollanta is moored. Sadly, the train ferry to Guaqui in Bolivia no longer operates.
From there we head to Sillustani, with its circular burial towers that overlook Lake Umayo.
