welcome to the OG. of ninja movies. this is the master ninja movie that showed the true ninja not some fake hollywood garbage. i decided to upload this series just so i can spit in the face of all the FAKE ninja movies out there. Ninjas were not invincible riddiculous morons. but humble warriors, who risked their lives in the shadows, often recruited from the lowest dregs of society, they stuck their neck out for the truly most important and dangerous missions of all. they fought for little or no reward, and they often died miserable deaths. There were two ninja clans that were responsible for the formation of the Legendary Shinobi that we think of today, and these clans were the clans of the Kouga and Iga provinces of ancient japan, tucked away deep in the mysterious mountains of Japan, their warriors were highly sought after for dangerous missions by the various Damyos. Legend says that after peace was established the Shogun decided they were to dangerous to be left alive so he ordered the extermination of these clans...

Extremely good movie,for every reason..the ending scenes of the battle at the fort was very epic,and as well done as any newer,hollywood production..so historically accurate, without the sort of juvenile fictionalizing seen very often in ninja stories..three thumbs up!!..was that Katsu Shintaro playing the villianous war lord guy?...awesome..

@kathberry8 yes. an epic movie. japan went thrpugh a ninja crze in the 60s and these movies were very popular

@kathberry8 No, he`s not played by Shintaro Katsu, but by his brother Tomisaburo Wakayama, who looks very similiar to him...Check out the Lone Wolf and Cub-Series, where he plays the leading role and one of the badassiest Samurai ever

This was and is truly a classic movie i would just love to see more real Japanese movie true to life about real NINJA SPIRIT , wow i can' t wait to see more movies like this one .
