Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin were great, but I'll take Harold Lloyd. Extremely talented.

Lloyd was fabulous and somehow still looks 'modern' whereas Chaplin and the rest look ancient.

The rolling tube shown at 0:21 was also used in "It" starring Clara Bow.

He truly was a great actor and very charismatic. You could tell he really loved acting. If he were alive today and starting out in acting, he would be a big star.Talent like that is rare and we are lucky we can still watch his films.

Which movie is the clip at 1:30 from?

1:54 O.O What is he doing with that dog?

Hate to be a moaner, but I think the biggest problem with videos like this, you choose totally wrong and bad music, and 9 times out of 10, the music just drowns the visual, sorry, not wanting to offend, but your music is over bearing and not fitting

I adore Harold Lloyd and think he is overlooked far too often. Lovely video.

Famous! He's the Best!!

I mention Lloyd in The Celebrity Song.

Well done! Going to the old Silent Movie Theatre in L.A. as a kid, I was never really much exposed to his work, as I was some of the others, but he was great! Here's an interesting story. Years ago, going to Beverly Hills High, we were living at the top of Benedict Canyon Road, behind the Beverly Hills Hotel. In the morning, my Dad would be dropping me off, and occasionally we would see a car, pulling out of the Lloyd estate, and there would be the old man, sitting in the back seat!

I would like to do something like this for Harold as well. What kind of software did you use?

Since I don't use a DVD ripper program, I had to use PowerDVD 6.0 to copy each movie frame by frame.
I use Animation Shop 3.0 to put all the frames together.
For sound from one of his movies, I used RealTek. Unfortunately it's not Vista supported.
And to put everything together I used Windows Movie Maker.
It's a very tedious task but well worth it for the end product.
Good Luck :]

Don't listen to the detractors. This is great. As a Harold Lloyd fan, for many years, (I first saw him in my teens, 30 years ago)it is just a new slant. It's great to see so many images together.
