if the eagles scored right there they would lead 17-6 so with 2:00 left dallas coulda scored a TD, recovered an onside kick, then scored again this was all Jon Runyan's idea he knew they could go into victory formation at the 1 so he was screaming "Go down, West!"

He kneeled @ the 1 because of Big-D's comeback on MNF the week prior vs the Bills. They came back 25-24; 2 possessions away from the lead with less than 30 sec. left.

@Petawawa8 by downing it at the 1 yard line, the eagles keep the ball and can run down the clock instead of getting the touchdown and then giving it to the cowboys, which would allow them a chance to score and maybe win/tie the game.
