Pssh! I wouldn't guess he could sing like that when he first started. I just heard about throat singing from a friend of mine who taught himself khoomei, kargyraa, and sygyt just by listening to CDs of it and practicing on his own. He sounds really good to me.

I believe the song beginning at 3:50 is called Kombu. I have Huun-Huur-Tu's more down-tempo arrangement of it on my channel.

It is called a doshpuluur, the Tuvan version of a topshuur. They vary from two to four strings. Wikipedia has more info on them.
