I am deeply committed to the authority of the Scriptures and their inspiration by God. I do not condemn those who prefer a young-earth interpretation of Genesis, and I expect the same. We are all searching for understanding. We must have room for the interplay of different views.
I support the ministry of Astrophysicist Dr Hugh Ross, Reasons to Believe. The very best modern science is in agreement with the Bible. Atheism is irrational in light of the evidence against it.
He presents a testable scientific model for divine creation by the God of the bible and makes predictions based on that model. He also shows why the evidence dismisses abiogenesis & panspermia entirely and supports the biblical creation account. Even down to the DNA bottleneck at Noah and family.

I & most other secular people dont care about others beliefs, BUT we do care when those beliefs are then portrayed as fact to the public & the propagators of these beliefs want them to be accepted as fact along side or even in place of empirical facts which are obtained through science & its methods. Science can & has show all ancient creation myths to be false, if one wants to test this fact then one must supply the appropriate evidence for their particular creation story, not opinions.

Why are creationists so fucking desperate to have their shit called science?

@TheNewLoners that's where you are wrong and i can honestly tell you that you are watching this video because you are uncertain of your view on life.

@Ezekielthirtyeight No. Didn't strike a nerve at all. I just notice that in order for a theist to understand anything you must pound it into their head with a hammer. Quoting bullshit with no evidence will get you nowhere. I would think this is understood by thinking people, obviously you are not a thinking person. Have a nice non-delusional day.

@alianchild Did this poor little Jesus freak strike a nerve? So sorry, it won't happen again. Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lust and say, where is His promised coming? For since the Fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were since the beginning of the Creation. For this, they are willingly ignorant> (dumb on purpose in the original Greek language) Jesus died for you too, therefore repent and trust the Savior ~ Truth

@Ezekielthirtyeight So, your problem is forever then? Before giving it you must acquire it yes? Therefore you must get it before you give it. @Ezekielthirtyeight wow,, what drugs have you been taking ??
Kent Hovind is a convicted criminal for a start.
"Denies the plain written word of god " ?? You have proof that A: your god exists and B: the bible is the written word of this god ??
Then you want to talk about cults ???

@alianchild How do you "get your mind an enema"? Don't you mean, give your mind an enema? When you can post a logical statement, then and only then, may you talk down to someone. Until then, take some English grammar courses and listen to what you are saying before you post.
Ignorance can be fixed, but stupid is forever.
Peace

Creation has never and will never be science.
That's a fact.

You are right it is a historical event. But science supports its occurrence. Something Darwinism cannot say.
bigwhammyRocks 2 years ago
Historical event? Are you kidding me? The only place it has ever been portrayed is as a historical event is in scripture.
And if you knew just the simple basics about evolution you would know that the swine flu is one of the latest examples of evolution.
And no, science does the opposite of proving creation. Ask any respectable geologist, biologist or chemist.
Something you would know... if you knew what science is.
kentekent 2 years ago
Wrong again it is a historical event described by cosmology. Most scientist now agreeing that the creation event occurred 13.7 billion years ago.
bigwhammyRocks 2 years ago
And you base that on what source exactly?
I'd like to see what SECULAR scientific sources you can find that actually supports those claims.
kentekent 2 years ago
Wikipedia "Age of the universe" : The age of the universe is the time elapsed between the Big Bang and the present day. Current theory and observations suggest that the universe is between 13.5 and 14 billion years old.
There you go.
