"absence of evidence is not evidence of absence"

Of course it is. That's how we know that supernateral gods don't exist.

It is easy to explain that with the harmonic oscillator equations (for phonons). hint: search "Phonon" in wikipedia

Apparently these are quantized energy levels, as appears in crystals where the phonon energies are also described through harmonic oscillator law.

What would happen if two tones were played against each other? Would it create a completely new pattern?

I was gonna make a comment about this ^ commenter's gross comments which you can see on his channel, but realized that would just be an ad hominem attack. Those should be avoided.

If you seriously study and look into the rational, reasonable arguments for a "First Cause" beyond matter and time, they seem to stand far above any other idea.

playing devil's advocate, Westwood is actually right. Have you heard of the Black Swan? (the concept, not the ballet). I recommend the book by the same name written by Taleb.

In short, the black swans were used to represent something that was absolutely impossible. At the time, no black swans had been observed for the entirety of "civilized" humanity, but after migrating to Australia, the discovery of black swans forced people to question how we can really, absolutely know any one thing.
