Ignorance isn't just the purview of the Democratic Party. The Republicans must share in this gene pool also. Popular media has attempted, and on many cases succeeded, to make us an American Idol voting bloc. We vote on looks, age, likability and little else. We don't attempt to learn the issues and are reticent to change our opinions in the face of overwhelming proof. We, as Americans, would be much better off with news sources outside of our country like the BBC.

Most of this quiz is about non-issues and gossip, or otherwise led or misled the respondents. I think most Obama supporters were honestly duped by some outright lies about the most important issues. For example, I knew the answers to every one of those questions and voted for Obama because he made promises about important issues. I now regret it, but I doubt I would have voted differently because I can't imagine McCain.Palin being better.
