2003 NewFlyer D60LF - Long Beach Transit # 2301

LBT 2301 seen here on Line 101/102. This bus was recently refurbished. It has a rebuilt DDEC Series 50EGR engine and 5 speed ZF 5HP602 transmission-NOT 592...typo. The exterior is repainted to correspond with the hybrids. The interior completely rehabbed with new seat inserts and blue/white sidewall

@masterproxl - It depends on what kind of bus and the transmission is mated with. Each engine performs differently, so they both got pros and cons.

we here in lansing mi (cata) used to have the same engine as that one but they changed it to the later models engines of the d60lf it sucks.

I remember not five weeks ago, that me and a friend took a ride on one of these things. We had ridden it on route #101 to the Long Beach Towne Center & back. It was fun.
