This is a video I made with Eric Ledgin and Sarah North about Alaska's attempt to build a 400 Million Dollar Bridge connecting Ketchikan, Alaska to it's airport a 2,000 feet away in order to make it "more convenient" for the residents. That's 400 million dollars of the tax payer's money. http://twitter.com/steveschneider http://thebsquad.com/

  • Those ferries use a hell of alot of gas and oil and building a bridge would eliminate that. Also, Gravina Island is flat (which is why they built the airport on it.) So it would be easier to expand over there. As far as former Gov Palin, she didn't return that money to the Federal Government. She passed it out to other communities in the state (except Ketchikan) a good portion of which went to her own community of Wasilla. No money saved there. I certainly enjoyed the video, very funny.
