@Tophairybutt i'm responding to your comment about american trucks, over 90% of the ford f150 is made in the US, thats on a 1997 i don't know about today, the only thing made in mexico are the wiring harnesses and a few electrical components, your right the japs supervised the tundra and the tundra has a bulletproof powertrain (engine/trans) but the suspension on a tundra and the frame suck dick

@inlinewhine not to sure what your comment is trying to say, but it just bolsters my last comment. We make parts, yes, lots of em for different makes/models. We just don't assemble them anymore. And we build a lot of vehicles here because we work better and cheaper than other countries. God Bless ya....

@strumem90 Just went by the local dealership again, majority used GM imported Canada/Mexico, every new Chevorlet Silverado on the lot was assembled in Mexico some and there are about 100 of these trucks on the lot. The parts to put these trucks together mainly imported from Canada and Mexico. I know the Oshawa plant assembles the new Cameros which I can see why because Canadians buy so many of those rear wheel drive sports cars. Also, you can keep your rhetoric and religious remarks to yourself.

@inlinewhine I don't know how much more clear I can be, we have not built GM trucks here since 2007. They shut the Oshawa plant down, my Uncle was on UnEmployment, I don't know how much more clear I can be, WE DON'T BUILD GM OR FORD TRUCKS IN ONTARIO ANYMORE!!...We USED to, not anymore...we build Muscle Cars and Imports here now....God!

@Tophairybutt don't waste my time Euro trash, and don;t fuck about my dead mother you asswipe, never once brought ANY of your sibling into the convo....We don't build GM or Ford truck here anymore, haven't since 2007 for gm..1998 for Ford....bless you

@strumem90 look on the vin number stumem90 most GM truck and Fords start with a 2 for Canada or 3 for mexico you can look on any new car lot undenyable proof that most US sold Ford and GM and Dodge trucks are Made somewhere other then the USA. Toyota is a real USA built truck 1 and 5 are USA Sure the profits go to GM and Ford headquarters where they are put into the pockets of upper management. Definitely not back into building a better truck. Why do you think Toyota is the benchmark?
-
@Tophairybutt finally, someone I can agree with! They may not be an american brand, but they have done enough to earn the spot as my fav truck, and Im american, HooRah Toyota!

@rilee11 Turbos on a gasoline engine adds bhp NOT torque as much as a diesel, that's why diesel engines are stronger for towing and are usually rated at very low bhp. It's all in the "power-swing".
-
@Truemoderate thats bc it has a twin turbo & its diesel. diesel produces more power easily. if u were to put a twin turbo in a tundra it would easily have 600hp. depending on how much boost. hell even 4bangers can make over 400hp with a tt. did u not know any of that?? ur ridiculous guy

@strumem90, for your information my research was done for me by Consumer Reports Magazine. Before you go spouting your ignorant diarhea, you need to read Consumer Reports! You also need to grab a creeper and roll under a Ford F-series truck. Maybe you can get your crackwhore mother to help you read all the stickers under the truck.
Fords are built in Mexico, supporting Mexicans...a hard working people, for $2 per hour. G.M. trucks are built in Mexico and Canada, again $2 per hour for Mexican workers, and $6 for the Canadian workers. Toyota is built in the states, but supervised by the Japanese for the highest quality humanly possible. So there you have it. Stupid americans put down Toyota trucks, and support the Mexican economy buying so called american trucks. LOL, americans make me laugh.

Here's a thought: I bet trucks from the Big 3 built this Tundra plant.
