The kappa is ACTUALLY an amphibian newt like creature that can grow to the size of a child and is VERY aggersive,it is clearly capable of pulling children under the water but not devouring their soul,the legend sprung up because the creature is SO rare only 60 get that 60! pockets of them left in the wild making them out to be legendary as the were so rare.

When it bows, it just loses its energy making it to go to the water. Not kill it.

When you see a Kappa, It will ask you to pull it's finger as a game. But when you take his hand, he'll drown you in the water and eat you. And If you see a Kappa, and it spots you, bow to it forcing it to bow to you making it lose it's water in its head making it lose its energy and making it to run all the way back to the water. Make a run for it!

hhmmmmm i had no idea that kappas were such multifarious creatures. I.... I never really gave kappas the credit they deservered. I thought all they did was rape and then suck the organs out of children. What a fool i was so thank you for shedding light on the situation.
