Starting up a media business in the UK can be highly lucrative and pay huge dividends for those with the right formula, but competition is fierce and the pitfalls plentiful. We hear from four highly successful media entrepreneurs, including Steve Auckland, managing director of Metro; James Brown, founding editor of men's magazine Loaded; Lopa Patel is the founder of redhotcurry.com, the leading lifestyle portal for British Asians and William Ong, the founder of Chinatown magazine; all of whom have lots of fantastic advice for budding media moguls.

  • Middle class wanker. You got all you knew from Canny Farm's The End.

  • The definition of entrepreneur: a person who organizes and manages any enterprise, esp. a business, usually with considerable initiative and risk. - He was asked to do the magazine, it was not his initiative and it was of little risk to him. Also his delivery is hardly inspiring.

    Nice comment about weirdos though.

  • pity he had to rip off 'The End'

    to do it ..

  • Looks like he was on his way back from 5-a-side.
