Joe: *goes to the alley between the diner* David?!
After a small moment
David: *comes out from the back of the alley* Well well well...it's been a while hasn't it Jonas?
Joe: Where's my brother?
David: *mocks him* Where's my brother? *laughs* Oh he's somewhere around here.
Joe: Well bring him out then.
David: Be patient, Jonas. *snaps his fingers*
Boy 1 and BOB come out behind Joe
Joe: *looks behind him and then back at David*
David: Besides, it's not like we like having your brother with us.
Boy 1 & BOB: *come up behind Joe, grab him by the arms and bring him towards David*
Joe: Hey! Let me go!
Joe's POV: Now I know how Demi felt.
David: Jonas, I think you should remember BOB, right?
Joe: *looks up at BOB* Bob? Your name's Bob?
BOB: Stands for big and buff.
Joe: But "and" is spelled with an a.
BOB: *squeezes his arm really hard* Well now it isn't!
Joe: *winches*
David: All right, BOB. We want him to have a little feeling left in him...*gives them a look and they drop Joe on the ground*
David: *bends down near Joe* When we beat him up.
Joe: *looks up* What?!
David: Don't think you can get off that easy, Jonas. You've been missing for 6 six days after you "broke" into someone's house.
Joe: And you call that getting off easy?
David: The point is, you didn't bring anything back and so now we're gonna have to beat you up.
Joe: *smiles, trying to change his mind* You know you don't HAVE to.
David: *kicks him hard in the leg* Shut it!
Joe: *falls over in pain*
David: *about to kick him in the gut*
Joe: Wait! Wait!
David: *stops* What?!
Joe: You said if I met you here you'd let Nick go.
David: No idiot, I said no pain would come to him.
Joe: Either way, where is he?
David: You want him? Fine! SPARKY!
Sparky: *comes out holding Nick by his shirt collar*
Joe: *tries getting up*
David: I didn't say you could get up! *pushes him back down*
Joe: *grunts in pain*
Nick: You probably deserved that.
Joe: Nick, I haven't seen you in 6 days, came all the way here to help you, and that's the first thing you say to me?!
Nick: *shrugs*
David: *laughs* Well now little Nicholas can watch his older brother get pounded like a pancake.
Joe: *scared*
David(and the other guys): *start surrounding closer on Joe*
Just as Joe is preparing himself for their kicks and punches, they stop.
Everyone: *looks up at the entrance of the alleyway to see a pick-up truck coming towards them*
David and his guys: *start backing away from Joe and getting out of the truck's way*
Joe: *turns around and sees the truck just as it stops in front of him*
Kevin: *hops out of the passenger seat and rushes towards Joe* I know you told me to stay back there, but I just couldn't.
Joe: *gets to his feet* Actually, I'm glad you didn't listen to me. *realizes something* Wait, where'd you get the truck?
Kevin: *looks back* Oh, some waitress that apparently Demi knows from the diner wanted to help us. *shrugs* I dunno.
Nick: GUYS! What about me?!
Joe: Kevin, you go get Nick. I'll try to keep myself out of trouble.
Kevin: Okay. *runs towards Nick just as David and BOB start coming towards Joe*
David: You think just because you got your brother here that everything's gonna be all right now. Well, there's no way any of you are getting out of here.
BOB: *grabs Joe by the arm*
Joe: Would you stop that?!
BOB: *grabs Joe's neck with his other arm*
Joe: *starting to choke a little*
BOB: This is for what you did yesterday.
Just before BOB strangles Joe, he lets go and topples to his side.
Joe: *falls to the ground, gasping for air*
Demi: Yeah, and that was for what YOU did yesterday.
Joe: *looks up and sees Demi holding a brick in her hand*
Joe's POV: Why was the only thing that seemed to pop in my mind was where had she gotten the brick?
Demi: *extends out her hand and helps Joe up*
Joe: Thanks.
Demi: Don't mention it.
David: *looks down on BOB and then back up* Wow, so he wasn't making it up. You really do have a girl with you Jonas.
Kevin: Joe! *running toward him* Joe, I got Nick!
Nick: *running right behind Kevin* Yeah, Kevin I can speak for myself. *sees Demi* Who's she?
Joe: No time. We've gotta go!
Kevin: Just get to the truck!
Suddenly there's a loud bang
Kevin: *falls to the ground*
Joe: *turns around* KEVIN!
