The largest drum crescendo consisted of 70 drum kits and was led by Pepe Sanchez (Spain) on the set of 'Guinness World Records', in Madrid, Spain, on 19 December 2008. Pepe Sanchez is a former GWR holder having held the record for the largest drum kit ensemble in 2001.

  • It's a logarithmic crescendo. Meaning the more you add doesn't just add onto the overall loudness. Basically, after half those people are playing, adding the rest only increases the loudness a small amount. Probably almost unnoticeable near the last 10 people.
