'Special Administrative Regions of the People's Republic of China' is similar to 'British Overseas Territories' - both are proper nouns, as one can easily tell from the capital letters used at the beginning of the words. They're proper nouns that refer to the dependent territories of China and the UK respectively. They don't suggest that those dependent territories are part of the sovereign state.

The Hongkies can't be Chinese. The HK culture's only similar to Chinese culture and the former is a fusion of eastern and western cultures. Most importantly - the identity of 'Hong Konger' (or 'Hongkie') is shared by people of all races in HK, not just the Hongkies who're ethnically Chinese. Being ethnically Chinese doesn't mean being from China and a member of the 'Chinese nation'.

The Japanese did 'bombard HK like hell' during WWII. As I said earlier, the problem is with the phrase 'we China': if it was 'we HK' then everything is fine. As HK isn't part of China, whatever wrong Japan did to China has nothing to do with the Hongkies. The Hongkie portrayed by Chow beats up the Japanese as a Chinese for the wrong Japan has done. This creates the wrong impression that HK is part of China and that the Hongkies are Chinese.

HK's under Chinese sovereignty but not part of China. HK has full internal self-government, while only defence and foreign affairs are the responsibility of China; HK's therefore a 'dependent territory' and her status is similar to that of a British Crown dependency or British Overseas Territory. A dependent territory is considered as a territory of its soverign state, but not part of the sovereign state. Since 26 Jan 1841, HK has ceased to be 'part of China'.
