"Gay" is such a dainty, limp-wristed word. And it doesn't help to say that people who are not gay are "straight," which implies that gays are "bent," i.e., imperfect and abnormal. And "camp," "queer," "queen": who came up with these airy-fairy terms? Liberace?
No wonder it's so hard for dudes to come out!
What about updating the effeminate sounding "gay" with a word that echoes strength, confidence and bravery? Like, say, "Jedi"?
"Mom, Dad... I'm... a Jedi": yeah, way more accepting.

For Your Stupid Information, it is spelled butt* sex lovers. Who cares? You're 85, so you're just an old loser bashing gays having no life, or you just lied about being 85 and you sinned as well which means you will go to HELL as well! You Homophobe!

@Bagboy2010 i think most people come out as bi as a half way marker to ease there way into the Im gay words lol scary when you can't support yourself finacially

I grew up in a liberal place also (Mass), liberal religion also. never felt when discovering my gayness as a teen that it was evil, or i was going to hell etc... i just thought it was something natural. i know all you religious gay ppl can get to that place. make ur own reality! love urself at ALL costs!

you guys are so awesome for coming out! I keep missing the coming out date. October 11th right? Well, I'm not ready yet for it all. Plus I have mid terms to deal with right now, but I digress. You guys are awesome!
