I watched this movie last night on Netflix "Watch Instantly", and it's one of the most unusual and intriguing stories about Marta Becket, a NYC ballet dancer, mime, and painter who settled in a tiny Death Valley town and found a connection and an outlet. A great story well told!

Amargosa is the name of the place. I'm not sure why they called it that originally, but many businesses in a town are called after the town's name so in Amargosa there's the Amargosa Opera House, where Beautiful Art happened and there for a state of mind full of beauty ... an "Amargosa" state of mind -even if it sounds weird in Spanish- :o) Nothing to do with the meaning of the word, but with the Place. Lucky it didnt happen in a town like Alameda de las Pulgas or Manteca CA which they do exist.
