KodoSoul: The Beginning

Welcome and thank you for visiting KodoSoul. My name is Will Spence. Im 31 and live in Denver, Colorado. I hold a bachelors degree in computer information systems and plan to get my Masters. Im developing several online businesses and working to be a successful entrepreneur. Im always trying to improve my life by setting goals: personal, financial, spiritual. I enjoy writing, music, great food, being with family and friends, soaking up sunshine, seeing an occasional concert, and dreaming. Im creative, witty, hardworking, and have been told many times that I am an inspiration to those whom I come in contact with.

I was born with a degenerative neuromuscular disease called Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Living and dealing with this devastating disease day to day is my biggest challenge. Some days are harder than others. Every day is not upbeat, but I have always accepted this challenge. Ive been in a wheelchair for over 23 years. I have limited mobility, use an external breathing machine and need assistance with almost all physical daily living tasks. This disease has stripped me of my physical independence, but I continue to strengthen emotionally and mentally. This keeps me sharp and prevents me from giving up, though I have wanted to do so at times.

I have wanted to start a personal growth and motivational website for several years. Ever since I was a teenager, each night before I fall asleep, I take10-15 minutes to collect my thoughts and reflect on what has happened during the day. This way I soak in what I have learned, accomplished, and what I need to work on to make my life better. It is a focus point and also gives me a sense of completeness, knowing I have done the best I could that day. There is always room for improvement and the next will bring opportunities to learn, to grow, to experience new things.

I promised myself that when the time was right, I would begin writing and sharing my ideas and experiences with others. Now I feel the timing couldnt be better and my motivation is stronger than ever before.

No longer just a collection of my dreams, I intend to make it a reality!

I share all of these things with you because its whats in my heart. I intend to keep learning from my every contact with others and offer a distillation of my knowledge and experience to others. I hope you will join me on this journey.
