If people like the Discovery Institute want to put forward hypotheses such as intelligent design as an origin for the information in DNA, then that's fine, but if they want it to be taken seriously, they must provide some evidence to support it. The user C0nc0rdance has provided exactly such a method for them to do this. Its simple, find a gene without an evolutionary heritage. The genomes of about 180 life forms have been sequenced containing maybe a million genes, and thus far the Discovery Institute has shown saintly resistance to look for a single gene that shows signs of non-evolutionary origin.
If you are an Intelligent Design Proponenist and think this would be an excellent method for presenting evidence to support ID, then arguably your best course of action would be to contact the Discovery Institute (http://www.discovery.org/ ) at info@discovery.org and suggest that the largest pro-intelligent design organisation actually looks for evidence to support their hypothesis.

The core of this video was made by user C0nc0rdance
http://www.youtube.com/user/C0nc0rdance
He makes excellent videos on science and defending science against dis-information.

Personally I think the Discovery Institute will do their best to ignore this, after all they must have thought of this before, they just do not want to invalidate their hypothesis by trying.

Why do most of the vides 'debunking' science have comments and/or ratings Disabled? I'm guessing these guys KNOW that their assertions can Not withstand scrutiny. Any other suggestions why this is so?

Casey Luskin also discriminates against new scientific approaches, after I sent him a 46 page scientific abstract, in which I claim it to be a mathematical proof for intelligent design?

    Dear Mr. Ruiz Garcia,

Greetings and thanks for your e-mail. I reviewed your material and determined that it is outside the scope of what we do at Discovery Institute. Thanks and all the best.

    Sincerely, Casey Luskin

So what should be considered to be inside the scope of what they do at Discovery Institute????

Same thing happened to me with NephilimFree, but he also approves comments so it's a little worse

really? I haven't seen any like that so far. I've seen a few Intelligent design and Science is wrong videos that need a comment approved or comments are disabled

One guy allowed comments, but blocked me from posting once I started calling him on his bullshit. User's name is Raven Wolf, I believe.

AAAAGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH. >.< FUCKING A THE 4 CHEMICAL CODE IS THE FUCKING BASIS OF EVOLUTION !?!?!?!?! Y U CREATIONISTS SO STUPID. Wow had to get that out. I like how these videos point out those stupid creationist claims but damn. It is painful how fucking stupid they are. That 4 digit "code" is exactly that. The cells can turn that sequence made from 4 types of chemicals is exactly the basis of what causes evolution.

They're not that confident, the discovery institute refused to appear and testify in the Kittzmiller versus Dover Are School board case, that would involve lying under oath, they may be dishonest but they're not that silly.

They have no problem being confident lying to the general public though, they're extremely confident then.

The only things the discovery institute wishes to discover is a successful way to temporarily inject religion in to the science curriculum of public schools and to separate evangelical Christians from their money along the way.

That's why it must be a short term argument, if they ever won they are out of business, luckily for them the scientific method will always debunk any proposal they make thus leaving them free to collect their millions from the gullible.

    All this proves is that:

    a) You're not open to peer review unless it's within your own institute

    b) Your only argument is to attack legitimate science with creationist psuedo-science.

    c) You were not willing to defend Intelligent Design under oath.

I've read that article, it's a dumptruck of complete and utter bullshit that undermines REAL science.

The " just a theory" of Evolution has produced rock-solid adances in medical treatments. The "just a theory" of gravitation is used to land probes on Mars- a hundred million mile away. So far, all these theories have advanced mankind more in a hundred years than the last Three thousand!

@DrJaredJammer Hahaha, you Are joking right? Evolution is "just a theory" like quantum physics- the "just a theory" that produced semi-conductors- the things that make up the computer you are using.
