  • Wow honey, you're so pretty on the outside, but you need to work with someone to fix your insides. Your childhood sucked, I get that. Your mom was a complete failure, and your grandmother considered you to be an underfunded paycheck from the state. If you'd been a first generation latina, you would have been deported back to Mexico or El Salvador and their you would have likely been abandoned. relatives would have received $0 per month to raise you. So, everything is relative. Cheer up.

  • sweetheart your beautiful inside and out, thanks so much for sharing this! Lots of love x

  • Drugs ruin the life of the addict. The also devastate family members. Sad. Nevertheless this girl needs to cheer up a little bit. I suggest ALANON. Her problems do not extend from here Mexitrucha heritage, but from alcoholic, drug addicted parents. It is not her fault. We need parents to impart wisdom. Poor kid has to figure life out for herself. Identity politics learned in college only delay this maturation.

  • beautiful

  • IT comforts me to know I am not the only one who feels this way. As a first generation Canadian Latina it was soo hard for me to assimilate into society without facing stigmatization from both latinos and canadians. Thank you for giving us a voice :)

  • THIS WAS GREAT SAY STRONG

  • Viva La Raza!

  • *mad applause* you GO girl! keep on!

  • no shit, Ive been throught the same stuff here in australia. Im half Hispanic, quarter Irish & a quater Australian. I was denied of my spanish roots to & not considered spanish by the extremely small spanish/latino community in Australia, coming up was the same for me too plus I also have a learning disorder as well as the want to know how to speak spanish. Que Dios Te Bendiga (one of the few words I know of).
