National Socialist radio broadcasts to Ireland during World War 2. Radio broadcasts were transmitted in both English and in Irish. The most notable Irish broadcaster was William Joyce.
@MossyKong He was Irish by birth, but he was never a citizen of Ireland. He was born in Ireland under British Rule, when he left Ireland after informing on the IRA it was under before the treaty and still under British Rule. Then he lived in England for years before he went to Germany. He was the Kings subject and be betrayed the crown in British eyes.
@He was born in the USA He also told Black and Tans where republicans lived and there houses were burnt down. He was killed for being a spy and should have remained in london as he was hanged for being a spy.
@Oidhreachta Ireland being a Neutral country with most of its trade coming from Britiain,i doubt that a lot, aswell as 50,000 irishmen fighting on the side of the allies.
