Hank C. Burnette - "Rockin' The Dog"

Yet another track that was originally uploaded by my Danish buddy, Erik Adelfred, but which went astray when his late YT account got 'busted' awhile back. This particular track was recorded by yours truly in the mid '80s, during a sick leave (!) from my regular job as a sound engineer at a local radio station. The entire track was made up using a cheap Roland S-10 Sampler for the whistling, plus a Roland Jupiter 8 keyboard for the boogie type piano sound and assisting me with the barks was my neighbor's hard working dog, a German Shepard named King. He had a frequent habit of 'airing his lungs' every time they let him out on the balcony, so one day I sampled his barks and used them by playing them back on the Sampler's keyboard. The funny thing is that King obviously thought a rival had entered his territory when he heard the barks coming through loud and clear from my apartment during the mixdown of the track! The result...he went totally nuts, LOL!!
"Rockin' The Dog" has since been released twice on two different labels here in Sweden. 1995 on the Star-Club label ("My Name Is Hank") and 2006 on the Darrow/Bonnier label ("Blast From The Past - The Best Of Hank C. Burnette"). Enjoy! Hank C...

Yea , my computer HHD is quite full. Got to off-load some used stuff to CD for storage.

Will probably need a new hip replacement ( 2 weeks in hospital); BUT, well worth it.

Why can't they just delete the problem videos rather than have years of good work suddenly vanish.

It seems to me I would want to maintain "Goodwill" if I was the owner.
