TO CLARIFY, since many people seem to think we were staging some sort of one man protest inside the supreme court, we were NOT PROTESTING! We were very quietly and respectfully walking around the building after going through security during open hours. He was wearing the jacket upon entry, and he was wearing the jacket when one cop decided to make a big stink about it. That is all, there was no mic checking, no hollering, no signs, no "parading" and absolutely no protesting whatsoever inside the building.

Occupy supporter Scott Fitzgerald was arrested in Washington DC inside of the Supreme Court building for wearing a jacket with "Occupy Everything" on the rear.
Scott Fitzgerald was one of the first protesters arrested in Tampa and charged for Trespassing in a city park.

The officers attempted to explain where these so-called "regulations" are posted at the Supreme Court....and failed.

  • You know, while you guys are on here bashing the Occupy movement, your brothers and sisters get beaten, arrested, and stripped of their rights in the streets, where they are trying to protect your freedoms. Occupy is about showing them that we have a presence, that we won't be quiet while they take our freedoms and destroy our constitution. Think about that next time you have negative things to say. I'd like to see you stand and get maced for freedom sake.

  • what does he(the cop) NOT UNDERSTAND about the 1st amendment?! UNLAWFUL ARREST!

  • @Aethan001

Go kill your self, you ignorant fuck...

  • @BahamasSecurity The Supreme Court is a public place, actually.

Or is it your position that the Supreme Court is privately owned? If that's the case, then what authority would a privately owned business have making the highest legal decisions in the nation? Your position would make no sense, my friend -- he was in a publicly-owned building.

A club is a privately-owned business, so your club analogy is nonsense.

All the Jews and Catholics needed to do is do what the Nazis told them too, right?

  • @BahamasSecurity Failure to question illegal orders by rogue officers is what led to millions of Jews and Catholics being executed by the Nazis during WWII.

This is America, a nation supposedly founded on personal freedoms -- if a citizen does not harm anyone else or remove or damage anyone else's property, there is actually no crime.

This arrest was 100% bogus, as was the order to remove the coat or leave -- he didn't harm anyone.

  • If I were him, I would have taken the coat off as soon as they threatened arrest, then I would have walked around carrying it above my head so that everyone could see what it said, and let everyone in the bulding know that they had threatened to arrest me if i didn't take off the coat.

What exactly are these pigs afraid of anyway? It's like we have thought police now -- this man didn't harm anyone.

  • @Aethan001 You, mister, are a dumb ass. .this is not about race or creed...it is about the the rights of Americans. Considering you have nullified the first amendment with your statements and you do not respect the American bill of rights..perhaps you shall go to jail for making your comments which would no longer be protected by a bill of rights in your world. Ergo..you may be construed as being an anti-American..and with that..Marshall Laws shall be utilized quench your acts of sedition

  • Man removed of his 1st amendemnt
