Prior to the 2004 United States Presidential election, the Minnesota Artists Exhibition Program at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts published an open call for artists to express their political opinions through original works of art. The exhibition was entitled "The Art of Democracy: Tools of Persuasion."

The video "A Cheer for Our Leader", was created in an effort to encourage optimism for our current leader and as an all-out cheer for democracy and freedom. The genuine qualities of the portrayed cheerleader represent the purity of our American freedom forces as we rally to prevent tyranny and wipe out terrrorism across the globe.
