Doctor Who Fan Video/Film Reviews: Creatures of Hate

My review of the Fan video Creatures of Hate, not one of the best videos, in fact I hate it, but here is my review.

I am not offering copies of these fan videos, just posting reviews.

Remember too this was first made in 1999. FX were in there infancy compared to today. Last year I made my second independent CGI feature film, so it shows how things have moved on. This also needs to be bourne in mind.

I am upset at the main reviewers comments. He made those without knowing all the facts, and the facts do matter. Wonder how good his films are? Let me review yours - only fair, if you are going to review others. He'd better be good.

This is just my honest opinion of your fan video, which is what these reviews are meant to be. They are trying to create awareness of the old school fan videos before the new series came back, I just don't like the video but as I always say in the reviews you have to see the video for your self and make your own opinion. Your video won't be the only video I criticise as I gave Theta G a bit of a run down as well.

I don't have any fan video for you to review yet; the first one is due to go in front of the camera this October and my fan audio will be out some time early next year so you will have your chance to get your own back.

But if your desperate to get the knife out I can upload some rubbish video projects from College and Uni you can slate.

Im only reviewing fan videos from before the new series, I don't really watch fan videos any more but I like to show off some of the forgotten classics, hence the reviews.

Two soldiers - we were trying to do it Dr Who style - a bit wooden - seems as if we succeeded. The script needed tightening up a bit as in the first version characters get introduced and then (too) quickly written out.

Wasn't the best fan film in the world, i just thought the two soldiers in it were painful to wtach....which is a shme because there are some very good concepts in this film its a REAL pity that it turned out the god awful piece that it is. I was keen on the idea of davros having the powers of possesion but the execution was....well shameful

comment about dear old Sheardy God rest him, who i can say that me and my friends here in walsall knew him very well and we were at an event dinner with him. And i asked him bout his cameo in creatures of hate,

ever wondered why he has big bag? He was on his way home and he confirmed to us that he just didn't want to know about it. So i can second Calvertfilm here.

No offence taken. My comments are just my comments too and I thought it wise to paint a more balenced picture. Also to state the reasons behind what happened.

Of course if you write reviews the film makers will see them to. It is part of the business you are in. We both have to (doing what we do) take a bit of bloody nose at times.
