What people don't realize is how hard Manny Ramirez works. Every day he was trying to get better, did what he had to do to become the best he can be, he had his problems but so does everyone on this planet. So when you say he is lazy, think again.

how can you say that? first of all, nobody actually knew manny was leaving, so there was no standing O. Second, as far as Boston fans go, there is no greater evidence of how much they appreciate their championships and players than how they're treating Ortiz. The guy is a sad shell of himself, yet the fans won't boo him, they appreciate all he has done. When Trot Nixon came back (in the playoffs) for the Inidans, the fans gave him a great standing O. They appreciate what they have.
