Barber Half Gainer demo

Some noodling with the Barber 1/2 Gainer. Using my R8 Les Paul and a Dr. Z Maz 18 NR amp. The Half Gainer produces sweet transparent overdrive. It's basically two LTDs in one pedal but with shared mid and treble controls. Perfect for live use or anything really. In this demo I kept one at a lower gain setting, the other was set for higher gain.

I start out with the neck pickup and get some "stratty" tones (oddly enough). One the bridge pickup it's pure ROCK!

can you use just the second channel or do you have to use the first channel with the second one?

Both channels are separate, not stackable. Check out the Barber Dual Discreet for more tweakability.

Have you compared this to the Tim pedal ? Whats in your opinion are the differences ? Cheers !!!

They can be dialed-in to sound similar. I like the Timmy as a clean boost and I like the 1/2 Gainer as an overdrive.

The 1/2 Gainer is not quite like the Dual Lotus. The Dual Lotus would be similar to the Barber Dual Discrete pedal.
