The rev jumps on the "we" bandwagon when Barnacle calls Rogers out about referring to his gay community as "my community" but then quickly jumps off to get on the black bandwagon. When Rogers says that if Warren represents Evangelicals, then he should sit down with the gay community to discuss the issues and then the rev quickly says "white" to differentiate that Warren only speaks for white evagelicals. So much for "we"...

I would love to have one of those body language experts analyze the Reverend's squirming at 4:11.

Why didn't Barnacle call the Reverend a "Christian Activist"?

I love how the Rev. got nervous and started scratching his chest because he was caught offguard. Mike Barnacle's head was spinning too, evidenced by his weak comeback about "why your community". Hmmmm ... just wondering Mr. Barnacle, but don't religious people call themselves part of a "community" of faith? How come you don't have a problem with that?

If I had a nickel for every time I've seen Reverend Rivers hanging around the mens room at Copley Place mall, I'd have a new car.

To think that a Black man who just 43 years ago could not drink from a white's only water fountain would act so smug is sickening. Yes, Rev Rivers has done some wonderful things, but the I.R.S. will tell you: you must pay your taxes every year. What you did in 2003 does not exclude you from your duties in 2008.
You keep talking an looking down on folks and you will create a large anti-religous community. Because Rick Warren initiated any programs does not excuse his open bigotry.
