  • The mars 888 is decent traffic clearing light that is still available new. Unfortunately your video does'nt do it justice. Maybe a different angle or shoot the 888 from a distance?

  • I agree, this is a classic TCL .

in my opinion, shoot the video about 50' out from the 888 and at average vehicle level ... should do the trick.

  • i have something similar in my mx7000, the code 3 oscilaser

  • @911caddy Hello cliff!

Now that I see it...it is sideways, probably who shot the footage was holding the camera sideways because it would be real hard with the gearing in a 888 to twist it vertical...excellent point out!

  • @stupullen Just looking at this again..The bulb filament should be vertical..This one is horizontal??

  • Check out "Greg's Mack lit up at night2" Real good idea of the MARS light.

  • Need to stand back farther and do it at dusk to get the full effect. A old rescue truck from a dept I was on had one on it and did it ever clear traffic. Then again, it needed it as the old Federal Aerodynamic light bar (or whatever the actual name is) really sucked. Maybe 20 watt light bulbs in the light bar. With the 888 on the front bumper with a clear lens, it did a great job clearing traffic that could hardly see the light bar at night.
