Like almost every country there are bad parts. Why not go to San Pedro if you wanted to experience the true beauty of Belize. This video equates to taking someone to Compton California and saying that represents the entire U.S. That's ignorant.
I've lived in Belize my entire life and I have not once been mugged or experience anything bad. I just have to add that not the entire country is like Belize City, it may seem dangerous and prob is but outside of there everything is quaint and peachy.
And for all those tourists that ONLY TOURED the City. Don't judge the entire country solely on your visit to Belize City.
@LudicrousScotty101 I went to Belize a few months ago. It was fucking awful. Worst place I've ever been. I'll never go back unless I can get a hand gun down there but apparently its easy so it is possible Ill go back. Dirtiest place I have ever seen though. The bathroom at the bus station was a fucking concrete block with a hole in it that led to a pipe which drained into the street. The whole city smelt like shit. The river looked like it was chocolate milk for fuck sake and was full of garbage
No kevlar needed. As with any foreign country always walk with a purpose, like you know exactly where you are and where you are going. Don't ask for directions on the street.(ask in a shop, store, bank, etc.) I've had nothing but good and enjoyable times diving in Belize.
Heh heh gotta love those copper zinc roofs and old school types of wood houses,Fuckin the highest building there is like 3 or 4 stories high what a hot unnerving dump. Its not a terrible place to live but crime there is pretty high, Jackings and gang related stuff.
Whats up with the guy walking down the street with a machete at 1:03, he'd get beat down by cops where im from. Why would an adult male need to walk down the street dureing business hours wielding a machete? Thats probably a dumb question, like why shouldnt he sling his pants if he wanted to? Maybe he was getting off the bus from his jungle clearing job outside the city.
KEVLAR? I'M FROM BARCELONA SPAIN, AND LIVED THERE FOR 4 YEARS.. ITS NOT DANGEROUS FOR TOURIST! EVEN THOUGH THEY TRIED TO KIDNAP ME ONCE. MY DAD WAS THE CIVIL ENGENIIR THAT PUT ON ROAD IN THE CITY AND CONSTRUCT BELIZE HOSPITAL.. SO THEY KNEW WHO I WAS
