  • Interesting. However, it is clear that if someone was clearly a fundamentalist, or just having this simplistic, 'evangelical' kind of belief - it should not come as a surprise that some of them become atheist later on. This is not a necessity. A rational Christian doesn't make the kind of assumptions as exposed in the first part of the video, and won't turn to atheism for this reason. The video is certainly a good showcase for a certain kind of problem with evangelicalism though.

  • @jcmmanuel

Oh yeah... No TRUE Scottsman - 'er I mean christian - would embrace atheism. I mean the very IDEA.

    (LOL "rational christian")

  • @louisecf Are you deaf?

  • fuck Jesus...even piraha don`t believe in stupid jewish tales))

  • @Justyourglitch Thank you!! So many people saying pee-ra-ha that it's annoying! Watched a vid in which Dr. Everett gave a speech nearly an hour long and he pronounced it pee-dee-HAN numerous times during the speech, then at the end of the speech the moderator gets up there and starts saying pee-ra-ha. so annoying.

  • I say: Pirahã people, please, bless God.

He don't know what he is doing.

  • It's pronounced pee-dee-HAN, NOT peer-a-has!

  • "I was trying to convince a happy, satisfied people that they were lost and needed Jesus as their personal savior." In a sense the Pirahas are still in Eden.

  • This is among the best things I've ever heard. Simply (and maybe literally?) "incredible".
