Do you want to know something specific about Brazil?
Maybe I can make more of this kind of video.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

- You can buy about 2 Brazilian reais with 1 American dollar

- You can buy less than 3 Reais with 1 euro

- You can buy more than 3 Reais with 1 British pound

- What is Nascar?

- Baseball? Sometimes I see it on American movies, but I don't really understand it.

- Playing football with the hands? It's really weird!

- That sport that Americans call Soccer? Sure, Brazil is the only country who won the World Cup 5 times.

- When you're introduced to someone for the first time? Sure, should give his/her 2 kisses.Or a hand shake if there are 2 men.

- When you´re waiting in a line you should start a conversation with someone you don't know. And don't care to talk about your personal stuffs with stranges.

- Prostitution is not a crime in Brazil. But only when it is a agreement betweek two people. Actually I do not understand a democracy when its a crime to do what you want with your body.

- There is no death penalty in Brazil.

- Crimes committed by minors are judged in all the different courts.

- The laws about crimes are the same in all the states.

- The car plates looks the same all over the country.

- The Brazilian constitution is huge like others law codes. So, the lawers and judges here work a lot with the interpretation of the books

- Kids and teenages are not crazy to be popular.

- There are no cheeleaders

- People are not so competitive

- People usually do not care about been the first in their classes. Actually, in the most part of the cases people do not know who got the better grade and there is no scholarship fot the better students. Famous colleges have a very diffult admittance exam.

- In Portuguese, different from English, the word preto, that means black is considered offensive and the negro, that mean, niger is normal. Call someone afro-brasileiro (afro-Brazilian) is still considered very weird.

- The sense of nationality is very simple. If you was borned in Brazil or by the law your a Brazilian... you will be considered bt everybody a Brazlian... it doesn't matter if you look like or you talk like a alien.

- People in Brazil never say: "I'm half Italian and half Japanese". For example, the Brazilian actors Giovanna Antonelli and Luigi Baricelli. Nobody (including they) talk about their Italian decendents. They are just Brazilians.

  • You said anyone born in Brazil is Brazilian. Does that apply to anyone who might be illegal or tourists?

  • @rb21122b I'm not sure. But I think so.

  • Negro isn't nigger lol, bit of a missunderstanding. But your right the exact translation negro does carry bad connotation. I think it's spelled the same in both languages. Correct me if I'm wrong

  • @anthonydukes2009 Not exactly the same... but I got your point.

  • Is it true that an American can escape to Brazil and never be caught after committing a crime in America?

  • @Tmanslick I'm not sure about it.
