I used to be hooked on the arcade versions of both sega rally's, fastest times I clocked were 2'20"08 on SRC1 and 3'59"86 on SRC2 (both the machines are set on short mode, so you only do 1 lap of each course with a standing start) might head down to the arcade now I think! great games.

I remember when I was 11 or 12 I played this course with this car literally hundreds of times and got sub 50 second times from what I can remember. It seems that 2.28.97 could actually be a world record?

there used to be a web site for all the fastest SRC2 times (aracade only) but that was almost 10 years ago! the fastest overall time (in short mode) was buy some Japanese guy (DKI?) he set a time in the 3'56"xx region can't remember the exact time but it was definatly sub 3'57"00

ah! yeah 3'20"02 for SRC1

I tried the cheat mode for a while (the "stratos in disgiuse!") and was lapping low 3'19's but it gets boring when all your times are on a hidden leaderboard that no-one sees. I packed in SRC2 after going sub 4'00"00 as all the Jap guys were lapping silly times like 3'56"xx, to me hitting the 3'59"xx mark was good enough!

To record the PC Screen, Google FRAPS, or Hypercam 2. Hypercam 2 is better because there is no recording limit and the only difference between unregistered hypercam 2 and hypercam is that it says unregistered in the corner. FRAPS sucks cos you only get 30 seconds of recrding time and takes up loads of HDD space. Just get unregistered hyper cam2 instead. ;)

Hello. My and my brothers fastest laps are about 49...something, but I never really heard that somebody drove faster than 49. I thought that was a Legend. I read about a time like that, but I never saw it! Until today. We will open up a Sega Rally record Site, what do you think? I want to find the worlds fastest time.
