Pick up time is 08:30 am at the Guesthouse

We drive to a local market for buy a fresh fruits for feeding to elephants. And then take drive through agricultural Thai countryside for One hour to BAAN CHANG ELEPHANT PARK where you learn, how to be a Mahout (Elephant caretaker) on the end of the day. At the Park, the Tour guide gives you first useful informations about the Thai Elephants. You get instructions for guiding and riding your own elephant as well you get the chance to feed them.
After lunch, its time to show what you had learnt in the morning. You sit on the back of the Elephant and try to control him during the ride trough the beautiful country side for about 2 hours as well you learn how to guide the Elephant into the river. There you get new skills in bathing and washing your Elephant. From the river bank, the guide will take some picture of you while you take care in bathing your elephant. When we return to the main hut from the river, at the coffee shop some Tea, Coffee or Water will be served. Around 04.00 pm it's time to say goodbye to the Elephants and BAAN CHANG ELEPHANT PARK.
Back in Chiang Mai you will be dropped off at your Guesthouse.

Things to bring: Towel, Cloths, Shampoo, Soap, Camera, Mosquito spray, snack.

  • We were lucky enough to do this on our recent trip to Thailand. What a fantastic experience it was. Everyone connected with running this park were terrific.
