the person who should be blamed should be the director he was the one who changed the scene and none of the guns were checked befor they were being used

Cut the guy a break. He has to live with the guilt for something he didn't cause. This man did nothing wrong. The special effects guy fucked up. But he pulled the trigger. All he'll rememver is him pulling the trigger.

Michael Massee answered the questions but he's obviously not comfortable he's being asked them. His lack of emotion is restraint. How can you lot judge this man.
His focus is obviously to not breakdown on TV.

This was a mistake but Michael Massee should never have been firing a gun at close blank ranger at any actor. A "blank" is still dangerous. That's where he was at fault. However, what caused the death was the "blank" plus the head of a "dummy bullet" that was accidently left in the barrel of the gun. A dummy bullet is used on closeups when a gun is being loaded. A blank is a bullet without the head. Together, it becomes an actual bullet.

I feel sorry for Massee.. He feels somewhat guilty for what happened (even though he acknowledges it was an accident, you can hear it in his voice) with Brandon Lee, and it took a terrible toll.

I dont think he was geniunely devestated. And he definitely did not take a year off. The following year he did 6-7 roles. Including one memorable role in se7en. And it seems strange to just talk about after all these years and sort of exploit it to help promote his new role in a show he's in by getting that attention.

a friend of mine is an effects guy in film. he got the firsthand account from the lead armorer on "the crow", which he subsequently related to me. his perspective on the matter is unbiased and illuminated. setting aside the details of events that led to brandon lee's death, i can relate that fault does not lie in any one person's oversight, but rather a series of errors and oversights, and while preventable, was most tragically accidental. it is certainly NOT michael massee's fault .

Someone should have been charged (the director? The producer? Whomever was responsible for safety?) and gone to jail. What a loss...the guy has so much going for him and was just beginning to blossom. RIP Brandon...you and your father inspire me to this day.
