I have just been introduced to this brave man and everything he said is the reason why I am glad I am not in the army, why I am glad that there are no drafting papers cause if their were, I would burn it.

I think just being young and naive to the true effects of war are the real problem. Do you see many 30-50 year old men and women in the front line No its the young kids who are there because they are miss imformed ie they all think there bullet proof.

All leaders and goverments lie you liberal hyprocrites. This man, while his intentions are noble, is just another complacent left winger. I sympathize with him, but be realistic. Kovic wouldn't be doing this if that bullet hadn't went through his spine. He knew the risks going in, and when he gets screwed, he bitches. I have a friend who was wounded over in Iraq, but he still believes what he, and the rest of his men did, was the right thing.
