Perry and Nana Adjei are eating Banku with Groundnut Soup. Due to the comments I'd like to add the following information. First, my experience is that most Ghanaians do actually live in villages and thus, they don't have kitchens and tables. Second, it's true Ghanaians do not usually open their mouth as wide as Perry is. Perry's uncle is actually yelling at him for "eating like an animal". Unfortunately, this is the only video I have of people eating. Personally, I LOVE to eat with my hands and think food tastes better that way. I think it's a great video to show the differences of the people in the world. I do not think this video is negative, it is not intended to be. I lived with an MP and his family. Yes, they had small tables with small chairs, but everyone still ate outside. It was only in his house (paid for by the government) in Accra that he had a kitchen with a stove and a kitchen table. There is NOTHING wrong with village life. In fact, city-folk can learn A LOT from living in a village.

  • why did you post this there is no vegetables in their soup, meat, fish! take it off it looks bad

  • Are you Ghanaian? All the vegetables in the soups are ground so you don't see them. At least in the Ashanti and Brong-Ahafo Regions. Also, there is fish in there soup. It's groundnut soup with Banku that they're eating. I posted it becuase I wanted to make sure I could always have a place to see them. Those two boys were some of my favorite people.

  • thanks for explaining its just that there are too many negative images of Africa out there. Are you related to them?

  • I agree with you, there are too many negative images of Africa and her people. I'm not related to these wonderful kids. I was a Peace Corps volunteer, and I was their neighbor for one year. They come from a great family. I miss them terribly. Africa is a wonderful place.

  • I have never tried fufu, but I tried an Americanized version from a gentleman who was from Africa. The food was DELICIOUS!!! The African people are all so beautiful. Those 2 little ones are so beautiful and happy sitting there and enjoying their supper. They make me wish I was there eating with them! Thank you for sharing!!

  • @rich12384, in a way i do i agree with you, but come on broth, u can't insult her after she has posted the reason y she put this video on youtube. and @yaa Amoakoa u cud have rather saved the video on ur laptop or mobile instead of posting it on youtube, cuz when u save it 2 ur laptop or mobile it is personnal. i wud adivise that u remove it, seriously.

  • I agree...you are obviously ashamed of your culture. I was born in Africa and I am damn proud to be who I am. Thank you for posting this vid...reminds me of back home. Living in Canada, I choose not to forget my values and my culture and YES I eat with my hands also.

  • @rich12384 wow yo really? she explained that she just always wanted a place to see them, she had no negative intentions watsoever. Those who would watch and laugh, that is their own imaturity, but just to be so harsh and tell her f**ck u? come on man, you could have found another way to let the lady know u did not like her vid. Anyways i don't see antyhing funny about the video, i actually think it's adorable, takes me bak to my young days in ghana. nways..Nyame Nshira wo.
