Battle Sussex Scarecrows & Awards 2010

Battle in East Sussex the 1066 town where part of England's history was forged. Today it is a lovely vibrant town with many small businesses and unique shops. The town has a strong community and throughout the year there are numerous events that attract thousands of visitors.
Once a year new residents take their place in and around the streets and pathways of Battle Sussex. They are the scarecrows, made by local businesses and groups within the town. They create huge interest and after several weeks on show, awards for the best scarecrows and flowers are presented in the gardens of The Almonry in the High Street, Battle Sussex.
