• i think this is a modified wing chun, it's quite different from the original one, but you guys seems to use so much on foot, and just relax your mucsles, dont contract to much, otherwise you will be too slow to block or strike people.

i agree with blackhandbill, CHI SAU is good for making your hands sensitive which make you react faster and be able to block or attack without your eyes.

also, please be reminded that the concept of WING CHUN is for blocking and gyming only, ALSO, The philosophy.

  • I love how technical wc is, especially compared to some tkd (not that we don't have technique, we just don't use as efficient techniques in general. It is a sport, too). I do wonder though-why is it that wc uses a squared off stance sometimes and an upright back stance-ish stance at other times?

  • @blackhandbill thats all people do in wing chun is chi sau theres more to wing chun than chi sau. love to see you chi sau on the street. its just a drill.

  • OMG gay! This should be enough to convince you that WC is complete bullshit.

  • This is Austin Goh wing chun , Lee Shing's lineage , but Austin mixed everything he learnt including Chi Kung in his teachings so this is not traditonal wing chun as you guys think.

  • This is beautiful to watch. You are both obviously quite confident in your respective skill levels, and never did there seem to be a time when one of you lost control. Everything was smooth, fast, and well-executed - and in such a confined space as well!

Well done gentlemen. this is how it should be all the time.

  • not good!

  • The elbow is very important in VT. What i dont get is schools that teach Bi Jong or the 'pose' if you will, to be held with the arm/s heavily extended. The straighter the arm the less elbow power you have and the less punching power you can transfer...

Tighten it up guys, youll feel better launching actions from the center with less arm extension.

  • Wow. What a helpful and insightful comment. I'd bet your sensei is very proud of you.

  • And you're basing this opinion on...what, exactly?
