@Ragnarockalypse Conformism is bad. It promotes a state where you think en masse, not individually. This means that if one goes down, everyone goes down, societal collapse, etcetera. So you're alright if society makes you conform to what YOU deem acceptable. How modest of you. No, everybody has ideas for how society should work which aren't universal. With a conformist society, you also don't make much progress because only by questioning others as individuals do we advance. So.. you're wrong.

@ForceRecon198 Conformism is not automatically bad. Also, morals and norms really do not change that fast. You're promoting egoism, which also isn't automatically bad. It all depends on how conformism and egoism plays out. If society makes you conform into a lifestyle where you do not steal, kill and murder etc I say it's a good thing. But if you do just those things out of egoism it's not for the better. I'd say the moral that tells you to show empathy is not bullshit.

I like sociopaths. They're non-conformists. People criticize them for being void of morals. However, what these people don't realize is that morals are made up and change for every single person every day. How can anyone keep up with that? Sociopaths are smart. They ignore that bullshit. They focus on what helps them and what does not. If everybody did that then everybody would be happy. Don't rely on what others do, rely on what you do.
